Exploitation of the largest iron ore mine in Hormozgan

Saeed Zarandi told reporters on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of Hormozgan’s largest iron ore mine on Sunday night: Rezvan iron ore mine is the largest iron ore mine in Hormozgan; Today, despite the sanctions, it is more and more active and is one of the most important mines supplying iron ore in the province.

Zarandi pointed out: the amount of reserves of this mine increased from 2.5 million tons to 20 million tons through search operations, which became known as the largest iron ore mine in Hormozgan province.

He stated: “Among the other important measures taken in Rezvan mine by Padideh Kavosh Iranian Company, the construction of the main access road to the mine with a length of 8 km can be mentioned.”

According to him, a comprehensive mine exploration operation has been carried out to determine the reserves and identify the quality characteristics of iron ore in the amount of 8,000 meters, and on the other hand, the internal roads of the mine have been constructed to access the reserves and peat of the mine.

Zarandi stated: Carrying out tailings operations to open the mine in the amount of 5 million tons is one of the other measures of this company, which has carried out iron ore extraction operations in the amount of 2 million tons.

He added: The amount of investment in Rezvan mine is 810 billion rials, which brings direct employment to 39 people. This mine extracts iron ore and processes it in order to prevent the sale of raw materials during an operation.

Deputy Minister Samat stated: In order to complete the steel chain and reach 10 million tons of steel in the province, Padideh Kavosh Iranian Company constructed an iron concentrate factory near the Rezvan iron ore mine.

He said: “Currently, high-grade iron ore in the amount of 270,000 tons and medium-grade iron ore in the amount of 650,000 tons have been prepared for the feed of the iron concentrate factory of Padideh Kavosh Iranian Company.”
